Marie T. Bucci, Esq. is admitted to practice law in the State of New Jersey and has dedicated her career to matrimonial and family law matters. As a practicing attorney, Marie fiercely advocates for clients across New Jersey, focusing on domestic violence trials, high asset divorces, complex custody and parenting time disputes, pendente lite and post-judgment motions regarding a variety of matrimonial issues, as well as Qualified Domestic Relations Orders for the division of retirement assets after divorce. Additionally, Marie handles estate planning matters for her clients, including the drafting of wills, powers of attorney, and advanced health care directives. Furthermore, Marie assists clients who choose to legally change their current name for a variety of reasons such as religious, marital status, personal preference, or change in identity.
Most recently, Marie was selected by the National Academy of Family Law Attorneys, Inc. (NAFLA) as a 2025 recipient of the Top 10 under 40 Attorney Award for the State of New Jersey in Family Law.
Additionally, Marie has been named as one of the Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in America for 2026 for her proficiency in Family Law. Marie has also been selected by New Jersey Super Lawyers to the Rising Stars list for family law practitioners in 2023, 2024, and 2025.
As a member of the Monmouth Bar Association, Marie has been proud to serve on the Family Law Committee as well as the Young Lawyers Committee since 2023. Marie is also active in the Somerset County Bar Association as a co-chair of the Family Law Committee. Moreover, Marie is proud to contribute to the Hunterdon County Court as a designated ESP Panelist since 2025.
Drawing on her previous connections with child advocacy, Marie is honored to participate in events with organizations such as Prevent Child Abuse-New Jersey and the Sunrise Optimist Club of Freehold.

Prior to joining Lyons & Associates, P.C., Marie enjoyed a judicial clerkship with the Honorable Andrea I. Marshall, J.S.C. of the Monmouth County Superior Court, Family Part. During her clerkship, Marie was responsible for assisting with various family matters, including divorce, post judgment matters, and domestic violence proceedings. Moreover, Marie regularly mediated non-dissolution matters, involving parents who were not legally married or for other adults filing for Court relief on behalf of minor children.
Marie received her Juris Doctorate from Rutgers Law School. While in law school, Marie served as a student attorney for the Rutgers Child Advocacy Clinic, where she provided representation for children in administrative proceedings and for those seeking special immigrant juvenile status. Furthermore, Marie served as an intern at the New Jersey Attorney General’s Office, Department of Children and Families, where she worked on appeals regarding the termination of parental rights.
Marie received her undergraduate degree from Rutgers University with a double major in Criminal Justice and Sociology and a double minor in Criminology and Spanish. During her time at as an undergraduate, she studied abroad at the University of Salamanca in Salamanca, Spain.
