Ms. Vella has been a practicing attorney in New Jersey for over 35 years while specializing in helping people work through difficult family and financial situations. Ms. Vella is a graduate of Rutgers University and received her Juris Doctor from Southwestern  School of Law.

Ms. Vella is the former Vice President and former board member of Women Helping Women, which provides affordable therapy and support services for thousands of women and girls dealing with domestic violence, sexual abuse, depression, substance abuse, self-esteem issues, death of loved-ones, and many other challenges. Ms. Vella also has served on the Board of Directors of Women Aware, which provides emergency shelter and services for women and their children suffering with domestic violence in their lives.

Ms. Vella is an Accredited Professional Mediator (APM), whose function is to facilitate the resolution  dispute between two or more parties in a non-adversarial manner with the objective of assisting the parties to reach a mutually acceptable agreement.

Ms. Vella  is also certified to practice Collaborative Law, a family law process enabling couples to achieve a settlement that best meets the specific needs of both parties and their children without the underlying threat of contested litigation. As a Collaborative Lawyer, Ms. Vella helps families through a process which enables couples to achieve a settlement that best meets the specific needs of both parties and their children.

Ms. Vella is past president and a member of BizNet for more than 20 years.

Ms. Vella has serviced the community as the Municipal Court Judge for the Township of Franklin and Somerset County CJP Court.
