Grimes Sues Elon Musk Over Parental Rights

Singer Claire Boucher, known as Grimes, is reportedly suing Elon Musk over the parental rights of one of the couple’s three children. She filed a petition in the Superior Court of San Francisco last month “to establish a parental relationship,” claiming that Musk has denied her access to one of their sons. In total, Musk is the father of 11 children.

Petitions to establish a parental relationship commonly apply to unmarried couples who share children and are often used in establishing paternity. Such petitions are typically filed with requests for child custody and support agreements. Regardless of their marital status, parents are legally obligated to support their children, share custody, and make decisions regarding their welfare.
