Lyons & Associates Teams with Grades4life and Somerset Community Action Program for Youth Basketball Program to Recognize Juneteenth, Support Minority-Owned Businesses

SOMERVILLE, N.J., June 14, 2022 – To recognize Juneteenth, and in support of local minority-owned business, Somerville law firm Lyons & Associates, P.C. announces it has partnered with the nonprofit Grades4life, Somerset Community Action Program (SCAP) and Rally Youth Sports on a summer basketball program for area youths.

During each week of the six-week program, Lyons & Associates, Grades4life, and their partners will reward youth participants for their academic and social achievements. Points earned through the Grades4life app will be redeemable for food and services at a handful of minority-owned businesses including a bakery, a restaurant, and a mobile gaming arcade. The program, called “Join in Juneteenth,” is open to children ages 6-13, and will be held at Rally Youth Sports’ gymnasium, 3 Chapel Drive in Somerset, N.J.

“When the opportunity arose to partner with Grades4life to mark Juneteenth, we felt this was a fitting way to put compassion into practice by supporting the community,” said Terry Lyons, managing partner of Lyons & Associates. “Giving children something active to do during the summer while rewarding them for doing it – and helping local, minority-owned businesses too – seemed like a win-win-win.”
