Eric Marcy Foresees Potential Criminal Problems for NFL in Wake of Flores’ Lawsuit

Attorney Eric Marcy, Of Counsel and Chair of the Criminal, Administrative Law, and Professional Licensing Practice Group at the firm, has recently published a NJ.com article about the ongoing NFL lawsuit. Former Miami Dolphins Head Coach and current Senior Defensive Assistant and Linebackers Coach for the Pittsburgh Steelers, Brian Flores, is suing the NFL and all 32 teams, claiming racial discrimination in hiring processes of the league.

Flores has accused the owners of the Dolphins of urging him to lose games to achieve a more favorable position in the following year’s draft. Since then, at least one other former coach has come forward saying they were paid to lose games. If these accusations are true, the NFL could face criminal charges at the federal level and within multiple states. To read more, check out Mr. Marcy’s article here.
