Matthew Mordas received his B.A. in Biology from Bloomsburg University in 2007 and his J.D. from Temple University in 2016. He is admitted to practice in New Jersey.

Matt transitioned into the legal profession after a career working for a global pharmaceutical company wherein he specialized in the manufacturing and process development of biologics. He worked in that capacity for nearly 10 years until he earned his Juris Doctor, during the evening, from the Temple University Beasley School of Law in 2016.

Matt served as an Assistant Deputy Public Defender at the New Jersey Office of the Public Defender. Throughout his career as a criminal defense attorney, Matt represented hundreds of individuals facing a variety of criminal charges, from petty disorderly persons offenses to criminal homicide. As an ADPD, Matt argued complex motions in the Superior Court, tried criminal cases, and helped clients and their loved ones traverse the criminal justice system.

Prior to joining Lyons & Associates, P.C., Matt was an Associate Attorney at Sattiraju & Tharney, LLP.

Matt’s practice is dedicated to advocating for clients facing criminal charges, empowering them through tailored support and legal guidance in navigating the complexities of the criminal justice system.

Matt represents clients in serious violent crimes, first-time drug offenses, and juvenile offenses. He ensures that his clients’ rights are always protected. He approaches each case with compassion and empathy, as well as the knowledge and experience necessary to maneuver even the most complex criminal cases.
